Alain Bertau
 

Alain Berteau (Aachen (D), 1971) is famous for his elegant designs, with flowing, organic forms.
He graduated from the National School of Visual Arts in La Cambre in Brussels in 1996 and works as an architect and a designer. He works on various scales, and designs buildings, interiors and furniture as well as appliances and consumer items. His designs are in production at a number of well-known design manufacturers. His creations are sober, but with an intense form and are suitable for a variety of situations. According to him, it is not so difficult to design with style. The real challenge of the design world is hidden from him as he creates relevant, lasting, solutions.
Berteau won the Designer of the Year Award at the Kortrijkse Furniture Fair in 2006.
