Eline Strijkers

Eline Strijkers (Weesp, 1969) studied design and communication at the Ichthus College in Rotterdam and then interior design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in the same city. After having worked for MVRDV for five years, she was one of the people who worked on the design for the VPRO building and in 1999 she started her own design studio. She nourished a real fascination for the analysis and optimisation of movement and challenging the customer. Due to this her projects are not only strong in the architect-ural sense, but are also functional and custom made for the customer. She has designed numerous shop interiors, restaurants and office interiors. Due to her conviction that a multidisciplinary and integral design process lies behind the synergy between architecture and interior, she has been working with the architects Duzan Doepel and Marc Joubert under the name of DOEPELJOUBERTSTRIJKERS since 2007.
