Marcel Wanders

Design is a form of poetry for Marcel Wanders (Boxtel, 1963), an international language that if you speak it well, will also be understood if people are tolerant. He graduated from the Faculty of 3D Design at the Arnhem College of Art in 1988. He rewrote design history with his Knotted Chair, which was made 
out of carbon-aramide fibres impregnated with epoxy. The design won the Rotterdam Design Award in 1997 and was also published in a number of international magazines. It was the reason for working with a large number of famous design labels, both nationally and internationally. Wanders also founded his own label: MOOOI. The label produces designs from both established designers and young talent.
