Boring Collection featured in Bruns’ Weverij De Ploeg’
Big role for Boring Collection in historic ‘Weverij De Ploeg’
This January Bruns BV, an exhibition builder for museums, moved in ‘Weverij De Ploeg’, a historic weaving factory building in Bergeijk. Lensvelt completed the interior with some pretty Boring furniture.

De Ploeg is not just an old factory: it was designed by the famous Gerrit Rietveld in 1958. He composed a light design with a sawtooth roof and big windows that give view to the surrounding gardens, created by the well known landscape architect Mien Ruys.
A building shouldn’t have furniture that steals its shine with a history and a design like that. That’s why Lensvelt applied their Boring Collection to the Bruns office space. All tables, chairs, panels and trash bins are shaded in a muted grey tone. In that way the focus stays on the design of the building, and on the people who work in it. Lensvelt topped the interior off with some great classics, like the Studio Jobs ‘Job Cabinet’ and Rietvelds Military series.
Designer Aart van Asseldonk is currently working on a set of tables and chairs for the company canteen. The series will be named ‘De Ploeg’ and will be released later this year.
Bruns is a company that specialises in developing and building exhibitions for museums and science centres worldwide.
