New products on Design District

LENSVELT will attend Design District with:

– Carpets by Studio Job, Nina Graziosi, Edward van Vliet
– Green solutions by Edward van Vliet
– Evergreens by Richard Hutten, Atelier Van Lieshout,
Simo Heikkilä, Maarten Van Severen
and W. H. Gispen ‘from Kembo by Lensvelt with love’
Design District, formerly known as 100% Design, is the most important design event in The Netherlands. The fair is located in the beautiful Taets District in Zaandam, not far from Schiphol Airport.
Lensvelt will be present on the event with a booth of wooden crates, wrapped in plastic.
In the booth visitors can see a range of surprising new products, green solutions and evergreens.
Lensvelt has recently taken in production a very special chaise longue designed by the Finnish professor Simo Heikkilä (see picture above). Heikkilä was a close friend of Maarten Van Severen, the Flemish furniture maker whose designs are produced by Lensvelt now. Hans Lensvelt has been loving this chaise lounge for decades and is extremely happy with this world wide première.
The Chaise Longue of Maarten Van Severen himself (see picture down) will also be presented on Design District. A special thing for Lensvelt… to unite the two chairs of these two friends together in one show! We show the third piece ever made. The first one is owned by Marij De Brabandere, Maarten’s widow. The second one is in the permanent exhibition of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Visitors can also take a peek at a design from W.H. Gispen from Kembo by Lensvelt. Pictures will follow later… Also Lensvelt will introduce some fabulous carpets designed by
Studio Job, Edward van Vliet and Nina Graziosi.
