The striking Album Armarium is intended to be a centrepiece in public spaces. Inspired by the repositories in museums and biology classrooms, Edward van Vliet feels that each office and hotel should have its own ‘cabinet of curiosities’, filled with objects and art that tell a location’s unique story. A three-dimensional diary. The Design and materials used in the Album Armarium find their roots in 17th century Dutch cabinet manufacturing while the meticulous finish references traditional Japanese lacquerware.
The full size of the cabinet is 270cm (106,3″) long / 230cm (90,55″) high and 75cm (29,53″) deep. Build through a steel frame, 6mm glass and spots included.
