It was a great Milan Design Week. Thank you all for visiting us. More than 70.000 people attended Ventura Centrale, a large number of whom visited our presentation ALL NEW. Together with Modular Lighting Instruments and the atmospheric scenography of JPS.architects, Lensvelt launched new chairs, sofa’s and tables, presented in a soft pink world.
Clockwise: Fabio Novembre on his new designed sofa New Balance; Joep van Lieshout shows how to relax on his AVL Lazy Modernist; the architects Jaspar Jansen and Jeroen Dellensen of i29 who designed the Felix chair, architect Alon Baranowitz and Irene Kronenberg of Baranowitz + Kronenberg on their elegent New Chesterfield armchairs and in between Lensvelt’s head product developer Rick Minkes and Hans Lensvelt himself.
Felix, the new versatile, comfortable, and affordable chair designed by i29, is a team player: in a group composition the backs in two different colors form one aesthetic whole. Lensvelt presented in Milan also extensions of existing collections like the Lazy Modernist and Office Chair, both designed by Atelier Van Lieshout.
The affordable, stackable and functional RNA Chair by Lensvelt’s Lead Product Developer Rick Minkes; Fold by Studio Piet Boon is a refined chair made with the moulage technique from the fashion industry.
The Belgian architect and industrial designer Stefaan Jamaer makes his debut at Lensvelt with a coat rack named SJH; Richard Hutten’s This Chair-family is expanded with This Barstool – an elegant and attractive chair with a low or high back.
Also on stage: the Maarten Baas Chair has new family members: a barstool with high and low back, upholstered and in oak; the classic S88 armchair in leather and canvas, is designed in collaboration with the internationally renowned Maarten Van Severen
