Although Nina Graziosi was initially commissioned to only design the interior of the new office, she and Beentjes Bouwgroep soon realized that it was much more valuable to create the interior, architecture and surroundings as one integral whole. Immediately, Graziosi's colleague and architect Felicia Hompus was called in. Together they were given responsibility for the interior and exterior, while Beentjes itself took care of the construction. The result of this unique co-creation speaks for itself: an all-encompassing office that perfectly reflects the organization's identity, both inside and out.
Working from inside out
After first thoroughly studying the organization's identity with the help of organizational consultant Jan-Jaap Res, they created what Nina Graziosi calls "the skeleton of the interior". Based on this framework the architecture followed, after which they went back inside for the specific interior. In line with the identity of the organization, unique materials from Beentjes itself were used, as well as lots of glass in order to visualize its sustainable ambition. The strong relationship between inside and outside is further expressed in the sturdy walls that run from outside to inside, made of reusable basalt blocks. The fact that these stones are often used for breakwaters at beaches is also a reference to the dune landscape in which the office is located.

Visualizing the organization's identity
Beentjes' family business has two diverse disciplines: namely civil engineering and more traditional renovation. Although these departments have a diverse character, Graziosi Progetti deliberately designed a building where these divisions meet. Both sections now have their own floor, but are connected by a mezzanine that literally hangs between them. On this split-level you will find the overarching departments such as finance and administration, but also public areas where people can come together to eat and meet. Around 70 people can gather today in this bright environment filled with organic elements, plants and colors that match the robust character of the company.
Collaboration with Lensvelt
Lensvelt had an unburdening role during this project. Not only did it supply various pieces of furniture from its own collection, it also acted as a distributor for external brands. As a total supplier, Lensvelt delivered and installed all pieces of furniture, whether from its own collection or from third parties. It functioned as a sparring partner to Graziosi Progetti and had an advisory role in the field of furniture, colors and materials.
