Militairy chair

On the 100th anniversary of De Stijl Rietveld Original and Lensvelt embarked on a unique collaboration: Lensvelt became the exclusive distributor of the Military Series by Gerrit Rietveld for the corporate market. De Stijl was formed by Theo van Doesburg, Piet Mondriaan and Bart van der Leck in 1917.
In 1923 he painted his iconic armchair in the primary colours red and blue and soon thereafter he built his famous Schroder house.
In the same period Rietveld designed a series of furniture pieces for the Catholic Military Home (Katholiek Militair Tehuis) in Utrecht, using bolts and nuts to connect wooden elements rather than the traditional wooden dowel pins. Robust, strong and notable due to the use of cross beams and contrasting colours.

Dimensions:
Chair height: 90 cm.
Chair width: 39 cm.
Seat height: 45 cm.
Seat depth: 44 cm.

This 102 Wooden Chair Armrests

This 102 Wooden Chair Armrest has a 5 mm thick seat and a thin chrome metal wire base. It only weighs 1.7 kg because of the minimalistic use of material. Furthermore,This 102 Wooden Chair Armrest is quick and easy to connect and can be stacked in large quantities. The bevelled seat is finished with a 3D veneer, which is an innovative material that is extremely pliable and can be moulded in ways that the traditional material cannot. Just as for This 100 PP Chair, Richard Hutten and an ergonomist did extensive research into the optimum form for the seat contour. You can also sit comfortably on This 102 Wooden Chair Armrest for hours at a time. Moreover, This 102 Wooden Chair Armrest feels comfortable to sit on and does not give you the feeling that you will get a cold back. This is due to the kind of wood used. This 102 Wooden Chair Armrest can be fitted with an extra connector.
A mobile trolley is also available.

Material: 3D veneer oak. Other veneers upon request.
Dimensions: 52 x 51 x 84 cm (Seat height 45 cm).

PH1 Chair Ronald Hooft Lensvelt OMA Architects Timmerhuis

The PH1 Chair was originally designed for restaurant Gustavino on the Zuidas of Amsterdam. Fun fact: many reviews of the food of this restaurant also mention the comfortable, stylish chairs. The most important feature of the PH1 Chair is that it actually consists of three separate seats rolled into one. The base is made of rough steel finished wit a transparent coating and seat is covered in leather. For Gustavino, the designer duo selected a supple leather in the colors olive, chocolate and crème.  Available upholstery for good grip and comfort: Tribe leather, a rough suede-like leather. Dimensions: 40 x 50 x 71 cm.

Tribe leather: West European bull hide with rubbed finish, fully aniline dyed.

Design: Ronald Hooft (2007).
