De Restauratie Eindhoven
The famous monumental “Transistor radio” of Eindhoven is designed by Studio Linse converted into an inviting brasserie. The Kembo WH Gispen 50s chairs from then and contemporary Lensvelt WH Gispen 101 and 202 Chairs are showing off again, now on a light terrazzo floor that connects the horizontal with the vertical in fixed furniture and bar where you can also eat in the evening. A monolithic design of simplicity and transparency, graphic and clear with cherished elements such as the restored chandeliers and newly designed lamps, benches and counter.
The restaurant is 240m2 and has around 80 seats.
From the client;
“Café & Brasserie De Restauratie is an innovative residential restaurant concept in a unique location in the central hall of Eindhoven station. This whole adds value to the identity of the station and the environment; the gateway to the city of Eindhoven. On this iconic location in the middle of Eindhoven -the historic cradle of industry and the manufacturing industry – let’s resurrect today’s craft. Not the pioneers of then but the local entrepreneurs of today give substance to the experience all the senses are stimulated. In the monumental building from the 1950s of the previous one century, original, authentic elements and style icons like chandeliers furniture combined with the comforts of the 21st century and an offer that meets the needs of today’s guests.
