Beyond Space firmly believes architectural thinking applies well beyond matters of space. Drawing from a range of interests, disciplines, and experiences, we seek to forge new connections to allow for the unexpected. We combine creative entrepreneurship with a solid grounding in our discipline of origin, and couple our unconventional ideas with intuitive design. We sit comfortably where art, architecture and product development meet, and mix buildings and spaces and objects.

Boring Collection

The Award winning Boring Collection is a collaboration between Beyond Space and Lensvelt. They won the Milano Design award for best concept in 2016. The collection derived from the dissatisfaction of the modern day look and feel of project furniture. The Boring Collection does not pretend to be something that it is not, as what you see is what you get. Creating a more aesthetically pleasing collection would become unaffordable or lead to unnecessary compromises, that is why affordability is an essential aspect. Intrinsically the collection is not about the furniture or even attracting any attention whatsoever. All this so that the focus is shifted towards the things that actually matter: the surroundings, interior and optimal productivity. The collection is completed in a modest, simple and plain soft grey adhering to the pure essence of functionality. The muted gray tone gives the designs the unique ability to completely blend in with its surroundings. Presented to you; a curated series of inconspicuous furniture, where its discreet appearance allows it to be present in the modern office, no distractions.
