Joolz, Amsterdam

In June 2015 Space Encounters won the pitch to design the new head office of Joolz in a former machine factory in an emerging neighborhood in Amsterdam. The designer and manufacturer of ergonomic strollers is characterized by responsibility. Keyword of the new design is therefore positive design, their core value.

The new headquarters is located in an existing industrial building consisting of a large factory with light also an office building. All walls on the ground floor have been removed, creating one large room and the hall is visible to passersby. The key interventions are the three sumptuous gardens, filled with trees, plants, birds and fish. The gardens are a pleasant backdrop for the daily office routine and bear the ideology of Joolz from: positive design. They also improve the indoor environment and provide them employees Joolz the opportunity once to choose a more exotic workplace.

Lensvelt has already supplied the loose furniture. For example, the office spaces are fully equipped with the Boring program, designed by Space Encounters. The gardens are performed include ALV Glyders by Atelier van Lieshout and tables from Lensvelt Meeting Tables program.
