KLM Digital Studio

KLM Digital Studio

KLM took the step in 2017 to bring together the teams that develop various digital services, tools and information systems in the Digital Transformation department. The space of 175 employees is seen as a pilot and has a temporary nature, so that it is possible to explore how KLM’s winning way of working can also be realized in digital form.
Due to the temporary nature, a limited budget has been worked. Existing fixed components (floor coverings, layouts) were the starting point. These are only addressed or adjusted at the most necessary points: Where the floor coverings were really bad, parts were laid in with durable carpet tiles of recycled fishing nets. Also the existing format has been reused and minimized as much as possible.
The familiar colors of the KLM house style have been used in a striking way in the interior. A beautiful contrast is achieved by vintage furniture in the famous blue tones and a red spot as with AVL Shaker Bar stools opposite the Boring work furniture.
