Lensvelt and Maarten Baas present the expanded family of chairs during Object Rotterdam 2019 for the first time. You are welcome to meet the new family of barstools, stackable and not stackable chairs, with and without armrests, with high or low backrest, upholstered or with a wooden seat and back. These unique characters are on show now, from 8 to 10 February in the HAKA building in Rotterdam.

Meet the characters of Maarten Baas’ family: stackable, upholstered with a range of  fabrics, in oak wood and as a barstool

A smart adaptation in the production process of the series-produced chair allows each piece of furniture to have a slightly different shape.

Each and every chair is an unique figure of which the various backs resemble human faces: they look rebellious, endearing or stubborn. There is a stackable Maarten Baas Chair and a variant with armrests. The most recent family members: a high and low upholstered bar stool and a version in European oak that can be stained in different colors are also on show now.
