Lensvelt adopted seven standout designs of probably the most famous Dutch industrial designer Willem Hendrik Gispen. The chairs are part of the postwar collection, the most blooming era of Willem Hendrik Gispen.

Hans Lensvelt has always felt a personal connection with the designer. In his opinion the aesthetic quality of the chairs is exquisite and timeless.
The chairs were included in the Lensvelt collection after the Kembo takeover in 2014.

The furniture is produced in the Netherlands using modern techniques, while retaining the original design.

Recently the Gispen Chairs were used by Janpaul Scholtmeijer of VENS Architects for restaurant Wolf Atelier in Amsterdam. A new restaurant operated by the Austrian chef Michael Wolf.
