In honor of the fifth anniversary of launching the Maarten Baas chair and subsequently winning the Milano design award for best concept, we extended the collection with a matching table, a bench and a stool.

The Maarten Baas furniture family already existed of the original 101 chair with and without armrests, stackable chairs and barstools. Being one of our best sellers the Maarten Baas chair in all it’s variations is applied in many different projects worldwide; restaurants from New York to Moscow, hotels and international businesses , airport lounges and clubs.

The new Maarten Baas table can be ordered in any desired size. The bench and stool were just a logical addition to enable architects to vary in any interior like projects or residential.

The MB chair is available in 8 differently shaped backrests, classified A to H. We offer an upholstered version as well as a wooden version. The chair was presented in 2017 at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. The frame is made of steel and comes in standard black.

Story

Maarten Baas and Hans Lensvelt worked together to develop a collection of chairs with irregularly shaped backs. Through a clever technical application, the chairs each seem to have a character of their own, resembling a face. The collection was presented in Milan under the name "May I have your attention, please" and won the prestigious Milano Design Award, Best Concept 2017 during the Salone del Mobile
