LENSVELT WINS MILAN DESIGN AWARD 2017 WITH MAARTEN BAAS 101 CHAIR
“May I Have Your Attention Please?” was the launch of the Maarten Baas 101 chair, designed by Maarten Baas for Lensvelt. Hans Lensvelt was the first one to get the artist to design a mass product. The result is a series of unique chairs that look like they are all individually hand-drawn. Now, three years later it is one of the bestsellers of Lensvelt.
Every year at the Salone del Mobile we witness this cry for attention from large corporations with spectacular presentations to young designers with fresh ideas. ‘See me, hear me, look at my work!’ That was the inspiration for Maarten Baas to shamelessly use the title “May I Have Your Attention Please?”
Each chair is semi-unique, there are 8 different backs available, which gives the whole of the chairs always look special and surprising. Every item is available in 5 standard upholsteries.
And Lensvelt won for the second time in a row the prestigious Milano Design Award for Best Concept. There is no other company in the world which has done this before. We are so proud!
