Museum Boijmans van Beuningen

AVL Bodytables and AVL Shaker Chairs at the restaurant of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen

Project Museum Boijmans van Beuningen
Architects Atelier van Lieshout
Furniture AVL Shaker Chair

Location Rotterdam

Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam is one of the first projects that Atelier van Lieshout and Lensvelt worked on together. Atelier van Lieshout designed the restaurant and sanitary facilities for the museum. The restaurant is furnished with AVL Body tables and AVL Shaker Chairs.

The toilet unit is shaped like a large penis and it connects the main building and the museum and breaks the glass passageway. While the interior is a light shade of green, the exterior is covered in an army-style camouflage print that blends in with the surrounding museum and gardens.
