Architect Wiel Arets was responsible for the design of the Leidsche Rijn College in Utrecht. And that can be seen in the building, its preference for black, white and glass.
The facade has black surfaces with glazed relief, the inside is entirely in white, combined with colored glass. The result is a remarkable school building. Nothing is left to chance. With Lensvelt, Wiel Arets designed 900 pieces of Leidsche Rijn Chairs (LRC Chair), LRC tables and waste bins. That’s why everything fit together.
