Ronald Hooft

Ronald Hooft (Amsterdam, 1962) designed the PH1 chair for Lensvelt together with Herman Prast. He is also called the “village architect of Amsterdam” because of his great influence on the interior of Amsterdam’s many restaurants and entertainment venues.

Among others, he designed the interior of the famous restaurant Gustavino at the Amsterdam Zuidas, where the PH1 was first applied. After that, Lensvelt produced the chair in larger numbers and applied the chair also in other interiors.
