Dirk van Berkel (Leiden, 1955) studied Interior Design at the Royal Academy in The Hague. He has proven himself as an interior architect and designer of fucntional and aesthetic office furniture.
His work includes the design of complete interiors for projects such as the Ministry of General Affairs in the Hague, amongst others, but also the development of custom made products. Van Berkel: “My style, if you can discover it, is minimalistic. Which doesn’t mean I like a cold environment. I like the combination between old architecture and a straight interior”.
He designed NaBT, Deejay and The Wall for Lensvelt.
