Lensvelt at TQ: circular furniture for tech startups

Last October Prime Minister Rutte opened TQ, a new home for technology startups at the heart of Amsterdam. Lensvelt made sure the furniture fitted the innovative atmosphere of the location.

The spacious interior was designed by Renee Appelo from Studio Appelo and Sybren Hoek from Studio Acht. Lensvelt completed the design of the hub with timeless and sustainable furniture, right in line with the principles of circular economy. ‘Award-winning manufacturer Lensvelt has proven itself again as a flexible, valuable and pro-active partner for Studio Acht’, said Sybren Hoek about the collaboration.

Lensvelt picked only the pinnacle of Dutch Design: Piet Hein Eek chairs, meeting room chairs by Richard Hutten, stools designed by Joep van Lieshout and Marcel Wanders’ desks in the award-winning colour ‘Boring Grey’.

TQ offers offices for new startups, innovation labs, a web development school and more. By doing so, according to the Prime Minister, ‘TQ is filling a crucial gap in the market: the space between brand-new startups and medium-sized companies that might just be the next unicorn.’
