Behind the scenes with AVL

Review of a wonderful evening at Atelier van Lieshout. At the invitation of Lensvelt and Atelier van Lieshout, visual artist and visionary Joep van Lieshout welcomed 30 guests to his workshop and studio, where we highlighted the special and long-standing cooperation between Lensvelt & Atelier van Lieshout (AVL), Joep van Lieshout's company. Together we organize small events like this more often to show friends, customers and 'friends of the brand' what this special cooperation entails.

Joep van Lieshout, dressed in white overalls, gave a personal and hilarious tour of the workshop and the large sculpture garden. After a welcome in AVL's canteen decorated with huge sausages, the tour continued at the adjacent BRUTUS Space - an artist-driven playground where creators are given carte blanche to experiment. ExpoBrutus allows artists to excel and exhibit on a gigantic scale. - With admiration and amazement, the group watched the installations by Folkert de Jong, titled "The Hero, the Villain and the Truth," and to "Disco Inferno" by Atelier van Lieshout.

This was followed by a delicious homemade dinner at the private residence of Joep van Lieshout, where there is as much to discover visually as in his workshop or 'Brutus Base'.
