Rick Minkes

Rick Minkes is Lensvelt’s Lead Product Developer.
He is the essential link between the designers and factories.

A proud Cum Laude graduate from Delft University, Rick earned his Master’s degree in Industrial Design with an internationally renowned thesis, the topic being: Office Furniture in a Flex Environment.

At Lensvelt, he keenly develops products together with Joep van Lieshout, Studio Job, Richard Hutten and Maarten Baas. Rick works efficiently, with a down-to-earth attitude and knows the essence of a design with academic precision, translating outlines into timeless, serial designs. His work is often depicted through sharp lines, clear volumes and pristine proportions.

No Idea series

The No Idea is a series designed by Rick Minkes design in 2017.
The series is designed with the idea of a cubus in mind.

The No Idea High offers privacy and seclusion because of the exceptionally extended partition without overpowering a space. An ideal area to concentrate, have a quiet conversation or a private phone call. The use of upholstery work as sound absorbing walls.

The No Idea Low series is designed with the idea for comfort and quality. The series consists of three sofas and a club chair that fits in all types of office or home spaces catering to any design preference. 

Both No Idea High and No Idea Low can be combined to create timeless office spaces which give an anonymous feel but also inspire the creative mind.
