2THRD is a Scandinavian-looking compact wooden chair that takes up surprisingly little space. In the context of the 'Small Space' living trend in the consumer market, the need for compact furniture is also growing in the contract market. The 2THRD is made from sustainable FSC-certified oak. The wood and the organic shapes create a natural look and feel, and the chair has a perfect sitting angle. The lightweight, stackable chair is multi-purpose for private use, hospitality applications and the workplace. A matching table is in the making.

Lensvelt and Studio Stefan Scholten

"Just like Lensvelt, I value expressiveness. Furniture should speak for itself." Says Stefan Scholten, who was approached by Hans Lensvelt to design a sofa. There were several conditions the designs had to meet. The result had to be applicable, functional, durable and expressive, and it had to fit within the Lensvelt concept of outspoken furniture with a wink. With this furniture, Lensvelt wants to create an accessible and practical product that fits in with the spirit of the times in terms of both quality and comfort.
 
Hans Lensvelt (CEO and owner of Lensvelt) and designer Stefan Scholten met each other for the first time over twenty years ago during the Salone Del Mobile in Milan. During the recent launch party, Stefan reminded Hans of their first meeting when Hans said to him: 'we must work together.
After they both had a fruitful and productive career in the design world, twenty years later, it finally happened.
